Study Gives Corbett a D- for Job Growth

Philadelphia, PA – Pennsylvania continues to rank near the bottom in terms of job growth under Governor Tom Corbett's failed leadership according to a new study by the Keystone Research Center. Pennsylvania earned a grade of D- for job growth -- ranking 47th in the nation for job growth.
"Tom Corbett's economic policies have been a disaster for Pennsylvania's workers," said Campaign for a Fresh Start Spokesman Mike Mikus. "Under Tom Corbett's leadership, Pennsylvania has gone from a top 10 state in job growth to one that now ranks 47th. Between this dismal grade on job creation and his $1 billion cuts to education, Tom Corbett has been an epic failure as governor."
In 2010, Pennsylvania ranked as high as 7th in the nation in job growth but that trend reversed itself after Corbett's policies were implemented. Since Corbett took office, Pennsylvania has been consistently ranked at or near the bottom nationally in job creation.
